Country rotation with ETFs: the three strongest markets

Stocks & ETFs

Fifteen country funds. Each month hold the three strongest, and only those in an uptrend.

The rule

Rank country funds by their six-month return and hold the top three. A country below its 200-day average is replaced with safe bonds.

Why people use it

National markets can diverge for years because of currencies, commodities and politics. Momentum across countries is one of the oldest studied effects.

Where it hurts

Single-country funds are volatile and exposed to politics and currency shocks. A single market can lose a third of its value in a bad year, and the bot holds only three of them.

How our bot runs it

Fifteen funds: Japan, Germany, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Taiwan, South Korea, India, China. Top three by 126-day return, a third each; a fund below its 200-day average is replaced by BIL. Reviewed monthly.
